Half Term Hard Work

Congratulations to all of Year 5 for their brilliant hard work this term. Mrs Higgins and Miss Carmichael are so proud of everything you have achieved so far and much more is to come!

Year 5 have been rewarded for their attendance not one but twice this term! It must be thanks to all the fun we've been having over the last 8 weeks.

Here's just some of the stuff Year 5 have been up to:

Ancient Greek Weaving
The BIG WRITE
Planning our own Liturgy
Remembering why we love reading
Learning how to pass backwards in Tag Rugby - nearly there!
Immersing ourselves in Polish culture
Familiarising ourselves with our new Ipads
Retelling our own versions of Theseus and the Minotaur - with the voices of course!

Keep up the hard work! We're really looking forward to seeing you all next half term and building on the amazing progress you've ALL made so far.

Pilgrimage to Hyning Hall.

Year Five's trip this half term was to Hyning Hall Monastery near Carnforth.
We're sure you heard all about the trip from the children but here are some fabulous photos to show you what an amazing time we had.

The children particularly enjoyed being involved in the Midday Service for which Shelbie, Natalia and Evelyn wrote prayers and Michael and Zed did the readings.

Mrs Higgins and Miss Carmichael were so proud of the class and their impeccable behavior throughout the day. One church goer (an ex-teacher himself) even commented on the children's exceptional nehaviour. Well done for being such fantastic ambassadors for St Cuthbert's Primary School!
